Bernhard Müller is a partner at PwC Legal Austria in ‘Defence & Security’ and public law. Before joining PwC Legal Austria, he was head of the ‘public and regulatory law’ practice group at an internationally active Austrian law firm since 2011. As a ready reserve officer, he has more than 30 years of practical experience in the defence sector and was Chairman of the Procurement Review Commission at the Federal Ministry of Defence from 2023 to 2025, which reviews major procurement projects of the “Aufbauplan 2032+”.
He advises on all areas of public law, in particular construction and zoning law, industrial and environmental law, subsidies and EU state aid, foreign trade law and sustainability issues, particularly in the areas of energy (transition) law and supply chain legislation.
Bernhard Müller is the editor of a standard book on energy (transition) law and a book on due diligence obligations along supply chains (CS3D). In 2009, he was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Vienna for ‘public law’ and teaches and researches there at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law as well as at the Helmut Schmidt University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg in the ‘International Procurement Cooperation’ program.
